Double A Expanding Deere Dealership Area

Taking over territory from another dealer

Scottish John Deere turf dealer Double A is to expand its area of responsibility to cover the Highlands and Islands.

The professional groundscare specialist, which is celebrating 30 years of business in 2026, will now service customers in the territory previously served by Macgregor Industrial Supplies, with the handover taking effect in November 2026.

The new area will encompass Highland, Moray, Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles.

Macgregor Industrial Supplies, which has been a John Deere dealer in the north of Scotland for more than two decades, will continue to trade separately.

Sandy Armit, managing director of Double A (pictured above), said: “We are absolutely delighted to be expanding our John Deere area into the Highlands and Islands.

“Our team at our Kintore outlet is already well known in this region through our work selling non-John Deere products and used equipment, and that gives us a great foundation for building strong relationships with existing John Deere customers in the area. We look forward to welcoming them and providing the sales, service and parts support they need.”

Chris Meacock, John Deere division sales manager, golf and turf, said, “We would like to thank the team at Macgregor Industrial Supplies for their commitment and service to John Deere customers in the Highlands and Islands over the years.

“We are confident that Double A’s expertise and existing presence in the region will ensure customers continue to receive the high level of service and support they expect from a John Deere dealer.”

Douglas Fraser, managing director of Macgregor Industrial Supplies, said, “We have enjoyed the successful relationship with John Deere over the past 20 years. While this is the end of one chapter, a new one begins and we will continue to support our loyal customer base into the future.”
