Technical Training Programme Confirmed

The Bernhard Academy has announced a programme of technical training courses for November and December, aimed at turf professionals looking to develop practical machinery maintenance and mechanical skills.
The one-day Cutting Unit Set Up and Sharpening Techniques course covers cutting unit maintenance, set-up procedures and sharpening, with sessions taking place on 3 November in Haverhill, Suffolk; 10 November at Moortown Golf Club, Leeds; and 24 November at Loch Lomond Golf Club, Dumbartonshire.
The Basic Machinery Maintenance course focuses on machinery care, preventative maintenance and inspection routines. It will be held at Moortown Golf Club on 11 November and Loch Lomond Golf Club on 25 November.
A three-day Fundamentals of Turfcare Mechanics – Level 1 course will take place at Moortown Golf Club from 8-10 December. The programme covers key mechanical systems, machinery operation and workshop practices, providing an introduction to the fundamentals of turfcare mechanics.
Bernhard Academy education director Sami Strutt said the courses are intended to give turfcare professionals the practical skills and confidence to optimise machine performance and improve efficiency.
