Reesink UK has announced the acquisition of Price Turfcare, the distributor of the Ventrac compact tractor in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with additional distribution rights in Switzerland and Iceland.

The company says the acquisition enhances their position as a distributor of turf and groundcare equipment, broadens its offering to customers and creates a stronger platform for future growth. They also believe it further strengthens the company’s long-standing relationship with Toro, owner of the Ventrac brand.

Price Turfcare was established in 2017 by Rupert Price, who secured the distribution rights for the Ventrac all-wheel-drive compact tractor and attachments in the UK, Ireland, Switzerland and Iceland. Supported by a experienced team with more than 150 years of combined industry expertise, the company has successfully introduced and developed the Ventrac brand across a broad range of customer segments, including golf courses, sports facilities, local authorities, contractors and commercial grounds maintenance professionals.

Following completion of the acquisition, Price Turfcare will be integrated into Reesink UK, which the company says will create “ . . additional opportunities to expand the Ventrac business through Reesink UK’s established infrastructure, service organisation and market presence.”

TurfPro has also been told that Price Turfcare’s dealer network will stay the same.

As part of the transaction, founder Rupert Price will join Reesink UK as commercial director, where he will continue to drive the development of the Ventrac business while contributing to the broader growth of Reesink UK’s turfcare activities.

Rupert Price, founder of Price Turfcare, said, “Over the past ten years, we have worked hard to establish Ventrac as a respected and trusted brand in the countries we serve. Joining Reesink UK and Royal Reesink creates exciting opportunities to further grow the business, strengthen our service capabilities and provide even greater support to our customers. I am proud of what our team has achieved and look forward to building on that success together.”

Alastair Rowell, managing director Reesink UK, added, “Price Turfcare has built a successful business based on specialist knowledge and strong customer relationships, making it an excellent strategic fit for Reesink UK. We are pleased to welcome Rupert and his team to the business. Together, we have an exciting opportunity to expand our offering, strengthen our presence across the UK, Ireland and beyond, and provide customers with access to a broader range of innovative equipment and support solutions.”

Jeff Dimos, managing director, Ventrac said, “There is a strong parallel between this acquisition and Ventrac joining The Toro Company in 2020. By combining two strong cultures, we preserved what made Ventrac successful while gaining the scale, resources and long-term strength of a company with more than a century of experience.

“Rupert and the Price Turfcare team have built a tremendous foundation for Ventrac and bringing their expertise, relationships and entrepreneurial spirit together with Reesink’s long history, infrastructure and resources creates a powerful platform for the future.

Finally, Rogier van der Linde, CEO Royal Reesink said, “By bringing this business into our global family of machinery equipment distributors, we expand our market presence while also reinforcing our longstanding relationship with Toro as owner of the Ventrac business.”
