Electric Greens Mower Added

Ferndown Golf Club in Dorset has added a Jacobsen Eclipse 360 ELiTE greens mower, supplied by dealer Wildwood Machinery.
Course manager Danny Murray said the club had not been actively looking for a replacement greens mower but was interested in the machine following positive reports about its performance.
Powered by a 250Ah lithium battery, the manufacturer says the mower can cover up to 143,000 sq ft on a single charge. Its adjustable frequency of clip allows operators to fine-tune cutting performance.
According to Danny, the quality of cut has been the machine’s main benefit, helping the club maintain green speeds while reducing the need for rolling. The electric mower also operates with minimal noise and supports the club’s sustainability objectives, he added.
Wildwood Machinery, a Jacobsen dealer, handled the demonstration and supply, with ongoing support provided as part of its partnership with the manufacturer.
