SIS Pitches has taken a majority stake in two Netherlands-based companies -DrainTalent and HeatTalent - in a move that they say will expand their sub-surface pitch technology offering.
DrainTalent develops soil management systems designed to regulate moisture levels by removing and reintroducing water from below the surface. The company says its technology helps reduce water consumption while improving grass health and recovery.
HeatTalent specialises in electric undersoil heating, including a grid-based system already in use at FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie.
Both firms will continue to operate under their own names, with SIS Pitches integrating their products into its wider pitch construction and maintenance business.
SIS said the acquisitions form part of its international growth strategy, following a period of revenue growth and the opening of new offices in the USA, Saudi Arabia, Georgia and Poland.
